Paramore: Last Hope (LIVE)

Thank you for making this summer so amazing. Enjoy this video of ‘Last Hope’ at the Chicago stop of the MONUMENTOUR!

whenever i get an essay assignment i immediately go “how can i work a feminist and anti capitalist rant into this”

How about focus on the fucking essay and not make everything about your passions? You don’t see me making a rant about whales in every fucking essay I get.

i study sociology and politics, it’s always relevant you fucking weirdo. go fuck a whale or something.

so if Nicki wasn’t talking about Eiffel what tower was she talking about

People look down on McDonald’s employees but fail to realize that if all these folks left McDonald’s and pursued “better careers”  your ass wouldn’t be able to get a McDouble with an Oreo McFlurry at 3am.

so i am not a huge paramore fan or anything (i like the self-titled record a lot, there’s a bunch of songs off their earlier records i enjoy both on their own merit and out of early-teen nostalgia, that kinda level of fan) BUT i just watched their entire reading set and YOU SHOULD WATCH IT TOO because:

1) hayley williams is an incredibly good performer (and singer obv! there are some gorgeous vocals here! but i am obsessed with performance), she is a tiny human tornado of energy, she is probably made of condensed sunshine, she’s also really really ridiculously good-looking. i watched the highlights reel of this set on iplayer first which was basically all the fast songs and i was dancing around the house for an hour afterwards, she is INFECTIOUSLY charismatic and energetic

2) about halfway through the set the sound system cuts out, and after a few minutes of confusion the band just sit down on the edge of the stage with acoustic guitars and one microphone and get everyone to sing ‘the only exception’ with their lighters/phones in the air and it is a completely gorgeous moment (and also extraordinarily good and graceful handling of what must be a fucking terrifying thing to happen to you while you are headlining reading festival, i mean, wow) and then they sing ‘last hope’ afterwards and i cried a bit

Reblogging for hintoflight for when she’s home and also because I watched this the other day and the forever loyal Paramore fangirl in me was all over this.
